Working for IMP, the leading marketing company for recipes and cooking, Plus Factory is happy to be part of the new CookingVillage.com website. This website is the premier destination for cooking recipes, cooking content, etc and also part of a brand new ad network.
Plus Factory was involved in the front-end development of the website including the Information Architecture, design and HTML/CSS coding. We also got involved with some of the Flash modules on the site, while the back-end was done completely by the IMP internal development group.
Please take a look yourself and find some recipes while you are at it.

So we set up the Verizon DSL (not easy), and got our wireless Netgear router to work. Everyone seems to be enjoying the freedom of wireless internet except for Mehmet. For some reason his laptop won’t connect with the router (cough cough….he has a PC, everyone else is using a mac….cough cough), so we had to bust out the good ole 50 ft ethernet cable which I had since 2002 (Winter Olympic Games in Utah. I had to set up a on the fly workstation with old-school ethernet routers and switchboxes….remember those?)
So anyways, while everyone is wire free on their laptops/desktops, Mehmet needs to get the internet the good ole fashion way….hardwire. But hey, it still works.
Except there is a 50 ft cable running thru the office floor.

Its true. We finally got a new office space. Located above the Flatiron district and right next to Madison Square Park (hello Shake Shack), Plus Factory is going to its new offices at 27W 24th Street. We are very excited about the move and are implementing our infrastructure and furniture as we speak. We should be in the new offices by next week, but obviously will do it so it won’t interfere with our Client’s work and deliverables.
More posts and pictures will be on the way as soon as we are all settled.

It is being called the Holy Grail, a seemingly magical innovation; Nokia has created a phone prototype that charges itself wirelessly. It works the same way as a power pad charger or better yet the dock that charges a Sonicare toothbrush. The phone, pad and toothbrush power up using induction. This advancement is actually not so shocking when you consider that Tesla discovered it originally in 1910. For the phone this means anywhere there are EM waves it will charge. So within the next 3-5 years (unless you live in a cave) you will no longer be able to claim your battery died. It is of course exciting and important because it will eliminate the hassle of charging like wires, outlets and accidental electrocution. Check it out.
